Wired Fest @ Festival Pier 5/30

Penn’s Landing is quickly shaping up to be the place to be this summer with yet another hot event announcement! Wired Fest 2014 will kick off on May 30th at Festival Pier. The event, hosted by Wired 96.5, features Calvin Harris, Diplo, Iggy Azalea, DJ Vice, and more to be announced.

Last week, Wired was using the slogan “Eat. Sleep. F—. Repeat” on air and on their social media channels. Finally, they broke the news on their morning show, The Big Philly Show, by filing in the blank and announcing that the missing word was “Fest”. The summer concert at Festival Pier kicks off a string of big summer shows hitting Philly in the upcoming months.

Headliner, Calvin Harris, was here last year for Budweiser’s Made in America festival. He’ll be bringing all of his hits back to Philly for what is sure to be another amazing show. This time crowds will not only be mesmerized by Harris’s music, but also by the stunning waterfront backdrop that makes all Festival Pier shows something to remember. Diplo, the mastermind behind the Mad Decent Block Party, will be here again in August. Take this is as a warm up for the MDBP event later in the summer. And let’s not forget about Iggy Izalea. She’s coming to Philly on May 3rd in support of her new album The New Classic. Her highly anticipated show is now sold out, so if you didn’t get a chance to snag tickets to her upcoming TLA performance, you’ll definitely want to make sure to catch her at Wired Fest later that month!

The first set of early bird tickets have already sold out so you’ll want to ACT FAST as this is sure to be a very popular event. Ticket prices will go up at a later date, which is also an incentive for you to act now. As always, shows at the Pier are open air and general admission, so get there early to secure a spot.
