Queens of the Stone Age have seen a lot of success in the past few years with their critically-acclaimed album …Like Clockwork. Their latest release is a not-safe-for-work video for “Smooth Sailing” from the aforementioned record.
The video was directed by Hiro Murai, who has worked with Childish Gambino and St. Vincent. It is a mini-epic, and much of its NSFW qualification comes from all of the drinking, drugs and death portrayed in the video.
The band just finished touring Australia and New Zealand, but will embark on a tour of North America, South America and Europe this summer. Lead vocalist Josh Homme has been making waves this year for a variety of reasons, including mention of another Desert Sessions get-together and for some trash-talking at the Grammys.
