In light of his upcoming second solo album, Lazaretto, the illustrious Jack White will be hitting the road these next few months to support it. He’s got a number of festivals planned for the tour, and will be making stops throughout the U.S., Europe and Canada – see below for a complete listing of White’s upcoming shows.
Lazaretto is White’s first since his highly successful solo debut, Blunderbuss, in 2012, which ranked high on mxdwn’s Top Albums list that year. Of course this doesn’t mean he hasn’t been making music since then – The Dead Weather, one of White’s many projects, also just released two new tracks, back in January.
White’s Third Man Records has been thriving in his rare off time, and the label recently threw a supreme party at SXSW, where they streamed the shindig live. White will also be kicking off his pending tour with a bang of show at Nashville’s Third Man, on Record Store Day, April 19th. The guitarist/singer will be recording a live version of the title track off Lazaretto that day, then sending it off to be pressed into 45s, and shipping it back to the label to be sold immediately.
The following month, White will officially begin his tour, hitting up such festivals as England’s Glastonbury, Montréal’s Osheaga and Lousiville’s Forecastle. Take a look at the rest of the stops, below.
UPDATE 5/13: White has now added three new dates to his current tour, including two in LA, then one at Fox Theater in Pomona right before he heads for Bonnaroo. Read below for the updated tour lineup.
UPDATE 6/10: Now on the tour schedule for White is a string of dates in the Midwest, as well as a few shows with Cold War Kids. See the updated lineup below.
UPDATE 6/25: White continues to stretch out his tour now that he’s added even more dates to his busy schedule. He’ll now be playing a show up in Oregon, as well as a string of shows in Florida and a previously unplanned stop in Ohio. The complete tour lineup is now updated, below:
