Jack White Announces New Album Lazaretto for June 2014 Release

Jack White will be dropping his forthcoming album Lazaretto on June 10, via Third Man Records/Columbia.

Lazaretto is the follow-up to White’s 2012 album Blunderbuss, which became a gold-certified international #1 record. The first single is the title track, which will be released later in April. White currently has the new instrumental song “High Ball Stepper” available and you can watch the video below.

Third Man Records will be celebrating the new album and the company’s 20th Vault package at the same time, offering an extra-special Vault package. The LP for the package will be the only limited version of the upcoming album to be released. It will be pressed on split-color blue-and-white vinyl and feature exclusive album art, as well as an accompanying fold-out poster. The 7-inch will include two early demos of songs that are completed on Lazaretto: “Alone in My Home” and “Entitlement.” These will be pressed on blue vinyl and housed in the standard felt-weave. A bonus 40-page hard bound companion book will also be a part of Vault package #20. The book will contain lyrics, notations, photos and art from the making of the newest album. Finally, the package will include a linen, letter-pressed postcard.

In addition to making a much-anticipated second solo album, White is collaborating with Neil Young on the latter’s latest venture and making new music with one of his many projects, The Dead Weather. Third Man Records threw its annual SXSW party again in 2014, which was three days long and available for live-streaming.
