Pelican, an intense, instrumental metal band, known for their unique power and energy, will be touring the U.S., Canada and Australia. They will be joined off and on by Nothing from visceral shoegazers and Tombs from Progressive Black Metal Quartet. See details and dates below.
Pelican’s last album, Forever Becoming, was rated at one of our top 40 best albums of 2013 for good reason. Their unique sound combines a few types of metal with classical concepts in music and it is truly fascinating, if not awesome. The last album has a few stand out songs, including “Lathe Biosis,” and “The Tundra.” Check out “Lathe Biosis” below.
Pelican formed in 2000 in Illinois and they have since released five albums and four EPs. They are well known to metal and hard rock enthusiasts but have not surfaced as mainstream yet. Nothing and Tomb are not as well known as Pelican, but they are artists from other bands who will be incorporated into several shows in the Pelican tour this year. Check out the dates below and keep an eye out for shows with Nothing and Tomb.
