LISTEN: The Afghan Whigs Release New Track “The Lottery”

The Afghan Whigs will be releasing their first new album in 16 years this April, and now you can listen to their single, “The Lottery.”

The group’s latest album, Do to the Beast, will be out worldwide on April 15 via Sub Pop Records. Some fans may remember that The Afghan Whigs released a music video for the song “Algiers” in February. For those who can’t wait until the middle of April for more, the band has now made their new track “The Lottery” available for streaming.

Just because The Afghan Whigs haven’t been putting out new music doesn’t mean they haven’t been busy. In 2013 alone they played with Usher at one of the biggest SXSW events, Fader Fort. In December vocalist Steve Myers participated in the Brooklyn Rock Lottery.

The release of the album will provide The Afghan Whigs with another busy year. They are playing headlining shows as well as sideshows at Coachella 2014 and going on a world tour this spring and summer.
