Ume is an Austin 3-piece consisting of frontwoman Lauren Larson, bassist Eric Larson, and drummer Rachel Fuhrer. While they’ve been around since 2005, they’ve only just started to really turn heads. Signing on with Dangerbird Records was a great first step, putting out a great album was the next. Monuments only dropped about, oh, three weeks ago.
The resulting splash looks to be a big one. Not only are supporting tour dates set up (look below for specifics), but the band has also tossed out a new video for lead single “Black Stone”. Psychadelic, but also razor sharp, “Black Stone” shows off all the hallmarks of the Ume experience – vicious guitar work, harmonies, and a pack of extremely excited fans.
