The saga of Tyler, the Creator continues. The Odd Future leader remains in hot water after his arrest in Austin, but his lawyer has released a statement proclaiming his client’s innocence. Not exactly shocking behavior for a lawyer, but he may have his hands full this time.

This whole thing started up at Tyler’s show in Austin during SXSW. After fans were locked out of an overcrowded show, some of them began pushing at the gates in an attempt to get in. What happened after that is a little fuzzy, but most sources agree that Tyler encouraged them, and led a chant of “Push, push, push” while they were, well, pushing. They pushed so well, in fact, that they managed to get past the gates. Sound was briefly shut down, people got unruly, sound was restarted, Tyler finished the set.
And then Tyler got arrested. He was taken in at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport the Saturday after his show, and subsequently posted a $25,000 bond. Jail time and fines are both possible if he is convicted.
However, his lawyer had this to say:
At no time during the … concert did Tyler seek to incite or participate in riotous activity as has been reported in the press…”It is clear from video clips and witness reports, that the patrons and fans attending the show on that date were full of positive energy appropriate for this type of event and never exhibited any anger or aggression whatsoever.
