Composer of soundtracks of The Bling Ring, Promised Land, Hannibal, and Boss, confidant of My Bloody Valentine and Talk Talk, after a life-long career in the music industry, Brian Reitzell is to debut his first solo album this June.
Former drummer for Redd Kross and Air, Brian Reitzell is known as Hollywood’s most sought-after music music supervisor and composer. He’s worked on Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring, Gus Van Sant’s Promised Land, the television series Hannibal and Boss, and the mind blowing new video game Watch Dogs. He’s scored Elizabeth Price’s video installation West Hinder. He has also worked with Oneohtrix Point Never, My Bloody Valentine, and Talk Talk.
Despite his massive portfolio, this is the first time Brian Reitzell took on a solo project. Beginning as a series of private recordings made at his studio to test out techniques and explore textures and sounds, Auto Music is the ultimate driving album, a “marvelous evocation of coasting along California’s freeways, reveling in the blissful sensation of forward motion.”
Auto Music will come out on June 3rd via Smalltown Supersound record.
