Founder of Pixies and The Breeders, Kim Deal will release the fourth installment of her solo series on April 1. The single will feature Kim’s fellow musician and friend Morgan Nagler.
After a short reunion with the Pixies, Kim Deal left the band once again in 2013. Pixies carried on with their winter tour with replacement bassist, but remained that Kim Deal would have a “welcome back” if she wants to return.Deal has since releasing new solo works, including a music video for “Are You Mine?”.
After running into fellow musician and friend Morgan Nagler in the driveway of a recording studio in Los Angeles, Kim Deal was inspired to make music. As a result of this encounter, “The Root” is the fourth installment of her solo series.
7″ vinyl will be available on April 1, featuring Songs “The Root” and “Range on Castle”. Deal played most of the instruments and sings lead on “The Root” while Nagler’s voice effortlessly guides “Range on Castle.”
