Chromeo has just released a new track from his upcoming album “White Women.” The song is undeniably pop, but Chromeo gives it a taste of weirdness from his weirdly electric voice. Listen to the song below.
Chromeo is worrying many funk-loving folks with their new extreme pop sound. Their new singl, “Jealous (I Ain’t With It)” is showcasing some pop trends and almost sound like the track to a Katy Perry song. However, the song is still tailored for Chromeo and they make it their own. Besides, the duo doesn’t seem too worried, saying that their new album will be “Better, Funkier, Poppier, Catchier, Happier.”
The new album, White Women, is due for release on May 12th of this year. The first single they released from their album was “Over Your Shoulder,” which was less of a pop sound, with more of that familiar funk-electric sound. Their second single from the album was “Come Alive,” and featured Toro Y Moi. The song was fresh and fun without being overly produced. Check out the third single, “Jealous (I Ain’t With It)” to decide for yourself whether or not their new album will be worth purchasing.
Based on the singles that have been released so far, it’s looking like Chromeo’s new album will really be “Better, Funkier, Poppier, Catchier, Happier.” The album will have a lot of different elements and should be the perfect soundtrack for May this year.
