Soundgarden, Snoop Dogg and Damon Albarn Announce New SXSW 2014 Performances at Guitar Center Sessions

What could be cooler than watching Snoop Dogg perform live on a rooftop, with the Austin, Texas skyline as the backdrop? Well now you have the chance. On March 13,14 and 15, the SXSW Music Festival hosted by Guitar Center, DirecTV and Filter Magazine will feature legendary artists including Soundgarden, Snoop Dogg, Damon Albarn, Phantogram, and The 1975.

All performances will be filmed high above the city, atop the Starr Building for episodes of the Award-winning music television series, Guitar Center Sessions. These events are SXSW official showcases which will require badges for admittance. These badges will be available exclusively to SXWS registrants who will need to stay tuned for dates, times, and how to RSVP to get in.

According to the official SXSW press release, each episode will feature “show-stopping performances and intimate interviews conducted by Nic Harcourt.”

The event will consist of nighttime showcases and daytime performances. Each day, there is a daytime party that’s open to the public with an RSVP and then at night there is a series of official SXSW evening showcases.
