Teenage Kiwi sensation Lorde collaborated with NY native and alt-hip hopper Son Lux on a new track, “Easy (Switch Screens), and the video is finally here!
4-time nominee, two-time winner, and performer at the Grammy’s 2014, Lorde has been taking the music scene by storm with her unique vocals and brooding twist on her tracks. Notedly, her debut “Royals” from Pure Heroin exploded onto the pop scene, claiming over 15 number one song of 2013 titles, as well as second best song of 2013 by Rolling Stone.
In this latest gem, the seventeen-year old performer brings a whole new level of dark to the infectious beat put down by Son Lux, New York post-pop and alt-hip hop artist. Her almost disturbing, throbbing repetition of “easy” breaks for a solo from guitarist Rafiq Bhatia, pulling the track into an even higher place. This tense, pulsing track promises an even stronger musical future for the young singer, currently signed to Atlantic Records. Lorde will also be touring this spring, she announced.
