Beats Music, online music streaming platform owned by Beats Electronics, have just acquired TopSpin, a sales and marketing tool for musicians, artists, filmmakers, and other creative minds.
Beats CEO Ian Rogers had previously been in the CEO position at Topspin, and in his blog post about the recent merging of the two forces, he expressed that it was a vision of uniting world music listers with the creators. Given that Topspin aimed to connect musicians with their fans and make them money, the two companies share a common goal. Topspin has made clear that users will continue using the services without interruption.
Recently, in January, Beats Music launched its Artist Tools which had Topspin features integrated in it, giving them possibilities to customize their profiles with merchandise and images. The music mogul promises exciting developments in the coming months, “providing new ways to discover music and engage with your friends and the artists that create it.”
