Renowned British artist Damon Albarn has announced the dates for his Summer campaign. The tour kicks off proper in May, and lasts through June and into July, with a couple outliers in March.
While best known for his work with Blur and The Gorillaz, Albarn is a promiscuous collaborator. He’s played with artists running the gamut from Daley to Danger Mouse to Flea – and now he’s going solo. His debut album has been in the works since 2011, and it’s finally due to drop.
Songs have been streamed (“Everyday Robots” and “Lonely Press Play” – both fantastic) and now dates have been laid. Sure signs of a big release.
When Albarn goes on tour, he does it right. Stops include enormous festivals like SXSW, Bonnaroo, The Governor’s Ball, and Rock Werchter. Stateside fans should hustle to buy tickets though; Albarn isn’t staying in the colonies for long. Check below for tour dates, as well as the new video for “Lonely Press Play”.
