Panic! at the Disco are bringing “The Gospel Tour” to Festival Pier this summer! The band will hit the waterfront stage on August 9th. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (March 1st) at 10am. This is sure to be a packed event, so get your tickets early! Festival Pier is the perfect summer venue. But remember – the Pier is an open-air venue, and the event is rain or shine!
Panic! at the Disco released their newest album, Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!, this past year. The first two singles, “Miss Jackson” and “This is Gospel” gained a ton of radio play. The second single also lends its name to the band’s upcoming summer tour which kicks off in Utah this July. This week Panic! at the Disco released the video for the third single from Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!, “Nicotine.” Frontman Brendan Urie says the song is about “that girl (or guy) that you know is bad for you but you just keep going back.”
Joining Panic! at the Disco for “The Gospel Tour” will be Walk the Moon and and Magic Man. Both openers are buzzed about acts. Walk the Moon performed at Made in America over Labor Day Weekend. Their hugely successful self-titled album was released in 2012. The band have been hard at work on their third album, with a tentative release date of spring 2014. The other openers, Magic Man, are a bit less well-known, but they are quickly makes waves – and are definitely a band you want to know about. You can snag a free download of their song “Every Day” on the band’s Facebook page. Also check out their EP You Are Here.
