Neon Trees is an American alternative rock band. Their breakthrough was in 2008 when they opened several North American tour dates for The Killers. Shortly after, the band signed to Mercury Records and released their debut full length album, Habits, in 2010. Their first single, “Animal” hit No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 1 on the Alternative Rock chart.
Neon Trees has made multiple appearances on late night shows, including Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Lopez Tonight, Live! with Regis & Kelly, Conan, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and Late Show with David Letterman. In addition to their televised fame, Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 selected Neon Trees hit single “Animal” as his Spin Magazine Pick of the Week.
Neon Trees has been opening support for bands/artists including, Maroon 5, Flaming Lips, Dead Sara, The Offspring and Taylor Swift. The band has announced its third studio album, Pop Psychology, which is scheduled to be released in April of 2014. The first single of Pop Psychology is titled, “Sleeping With a Friend,” which has already been performed on the The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
