Brian Eno and Karl Hyde are releasing a collaborative album, Someday World, on May 6.
All nine tracks on Someday World were composed and sung by Eno and Hyde. They had support from such musicians as Tessa Angus, Nell Catchpole, Marianna Champion, Will Champion, Kasia Daszykowska, Don E., Darla Eno, Georgia Gibson, Andy Mackay, John Reynolds and Chris Vatalaro. Though Eno and Hyde have collaborated before, this is the first full-length album the two have done together.
Eno began his career in glam rock band Roxy Music, but has had a successful solo career since the 1970s. He has accomplished quite a bit in his lifetime, as a songwriter, producer, musician and artist.
Hyde is probably best known for his work in the electronic duo Underworld, formed in 1980. The group was chosen to direct the music for the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony and Hyde released a solo album in April 2013.
