Eric Hutchinson @ The TLA 5/21

On May 21st, Eric Hutchinson will perform at the TLA, presented by Ones to Watch with Skype. Ones to Watch is a two year program that promotes up and coming talent spanning multiple genres. They’ve already presented such artists as Walk off the Earth and Cherub. And their newest offering comes in the form of Hutchinson’s Tell The World Tour. The tour kicks off in Baltimore on April16th, and will arrive in Philly about a month later.

Eric Hutchinson’s newest album Pure Fiction will be released on April 8th. You can pre-order the album now, via iTunes, and you’ll get a copy of his single “Tell the World” instantly. The lead track and the rest of the album are songs about “enjoying the simple things in life.” Pure Fiction is Hutchinson’s 5th album. He released his debut album, That Could’ve Gone Better, in 2003. In 2008, Hutchinson recorded and released his hit album Sounds Like This on his own. The album debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. Eric Hutchinson quickly became an artist that everyone needed to know. He was named AOL’s “About to Pop” artist, the Yahoo! Who’s Next Artist, a “VH1 You Oughta Know” Arist, and an MSN “One to Watch” Artist. Hutchinson’s most recent release was 2012’s Moving Up, Living Down.

Support for Eric Hutchinson’s Tell The World Tour will be Saints of Valory, a band based out of Austin, TX. They released their 4-song EP Possibilities in July of  last year. Saints of Valory formed in 2008 in Rio de Janeiro, but their history goes much further back. Bandmates Gavin Jasper and Godfrey Thomson were childhood friends. The band relocated to Austin in 2010 and released The Bright Lights later that year. They released another EP, Kids, in 2012. That year they were ranked as one of Billboard’s Top Unsigned Artists. They would later sign to Atlantic Records, who distributed their most recent release, Possibilities. Catch both Saints of Valory and Eric Hutchinson on May 21st at The TLA.
