Memphis Music Legends to Play Free Show at SXSW 2014 at Butler Park Stage at Lady Bird lake

Hot on the heels of news of a free Foster the People show, comes the announcement of free showcasing of some of the best acts to come out of Memphis. At the outdoor stage on the afternoon of March 15th 2014 the “Take Me to the River” music showcase will feature Memphis legends along with many current stars. On the agenda is; William Bell, Otis Clay, Syl Johnson, Booker T. Jones and more! The house band, Hi Rhythm, the studio band that recorded with such legends as Al Green and Ann Pebbles resulting in 27 gold and platinum records in a row. The music showcase will follow the SXSW screening of the documentary Take Me to the River, an exploration and celebration of Memphis Soul.
