King Buzzo is set to ride again. The founding Melvins member has just streamed a new acoustic track, “Dark Brown Teeth”. The song is much more pleasant than the title.
Known for his deft hand on guitar and bass, and for his ridiculous shock of hair, Osbourne grew up deeply linked into the Seattle grunge scene. Not only did he gain prominence alongside famed grunge outfit The Melvins, he also grew up alongside Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic of Nirvana. He even introduced them to Dave Grohl while the drummer was searching for a job – or so the story goes.
He’s more recently recognized for his work with Fantômas, a prog-metal supergroup founded by none other than Mr. Bungle/Faith no More vocalist Mike Patton. And, if you’re headed to SXSW (lucky you), you’ll be able to catch Osbourne, who was recently added as a feature speaker at the event.
But on to the music. Osbourne has been long planning an acoustic tour, which is set to kick off in just over a week. Attend the show and you can also scoop up a commemorative 10″ entitled This Machine Kills Artists, “Dark Brown Teeth” being one of the offerings. Check the song out below.
