elbow, an alternative rock band from the UK, has announced tour dates for their North American tour. Their new album, inspired by overheard conversations in Brooklyn, is dropping this March and is bound to bring good feelings from simple acoustic sounds and vocal harmonies. Check out their tour dates below.
The band consists of five guys. Guy Garvey plays the guitar and sings lead, Richard Jupp plays the drums, Craig Potter is on the Keyboard, Mark Potter plays guitar and does backup vocals and Pete Turner plays bass and does backup vocals as well. The band joined forces in 1990 and they have since released five albums including The Seldom Seen Kid, a 2008 album that won the Mercury Music Prize. Their most recent work, Dead in the Boot was a compilation album including many of their non-album tracks and was released in 2012.
In the summer of 2012 they performed at the Summer Olympics closing ceremony, where they gained the attention of millions. Since then, they have been living and breathing their music for their upcoming album Carry Her Carry Me and this tour will be the gallery of that work.
These guys are no joke and this tour is well worth watching out for. Check out the dates near you, below, and buy yourself some tickets!
