New York-based HEARTSREVOLUTION will drop their debut album, Ride or Die, on April 15.
HEARTSREVOLUTION records as a duo, Ben Pollock and Leyla Safai, who call themselves simply Ben and Lo. During live performances they are joined by drummer Terry ‘Prince Terrence’ Campbell, who has also worked with artists such as Santigold and Your Highness Electric. NME called the band “the model for the modern pop group,” but they are also relevant in noise pop, dance-punk and new rave music.
The group also just finished building the first and only Swarovski crystal-covered ice cream truck, which will serve as their tour bus. The vehicle has close to a million Swarovski crystals that were passed down by Michael Jackson. In addition to the ice cream truck and new album, HEARTSREVOLUTION has also been working on a worldwide street art project in cities like Tokyo, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and New York.
