Shortly after Coachella wraps up its second weekend, music lovers can travel about 25 minutes from Indio to catch another of Southern California’s rockin’ events, Desert Daze. This year’s festival will be held Saturday, April 26th, and has a stacked one night only lineup, particularly with Blonde Redhead and The Raveonettes headlining.
Desert Daze, now in its third year, is held at the Sunset Ranch Oasis in Mecca, Calif. Created by festival producers Moon Block Party, the event got its start in 2012 with 120 acts playing a roadhouse for eleven days and nights. Gaslamp Killer and Dengue Fever were featured in the fest’s first installment, and when Desert Daze expanded to an outdoor venue in 2013, groups such as Tinariwen and Fool’s Gold made their way to the desert ranch for performances.
The 2014 edition of Desert Daze hosts a great selection of old and new, bringing Night Beats down from Seattle, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra over from New Zealand. See below for a complete listing of this year’s lineup, and click here for ticket info.
