Daft Punk Take Best Album of the Year at the Grammys

French electro duo Daft Punk took home four Grammys from last night’s awards ceremony, including Best Album of the Year with their smash hit Random Access Memories.

The twosome also got their hands on the gramophone for Record of the Year, Best Dance/Electronica Album and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the work they did with Pharrell and Chic’s Nile Rodgers on “Get Lucky.”

Daft Punk capped off a whirlwind year of success with their wins last night, and their victories aren’t all that much of a surprise, considering what a rocket Random Access Memories was from the start. The robotic duo were such big deal last year they even got action figures modeled after them. And there’s also that impressive box set they released at the end of the year, made even more valuable with their triumphs last night.
