Swedish death metal band Amon Amarth is releasing the video for “Father of the Wolf” a song off Deceiver of the Gods, their most recent album.
Amon Amarth released Deceiver of the Gods in July of 2013. The album was a success reaching into the billboard top 25. “Father of the Wolf”, the third track off the album has been a fan favorite and has been chosen as the groups most recent music video. The video is nothing short of epic. At 10:00 long it is more than just a music video. The introduction, where two travelers are carrying a powerful book, sets up a giant war scene in which the music kicks in and lead singer Johan Hegg, lit from behind, begins the song’s growl. The video outlines a battle between Thor and Loki, and the special effects are well worth the watch.
The band has begun their most recent tour, starting in the southwest and heading a complete loop of the country making stops in the South, Northeast and the Midwest on their was to finishing in California.
