LA-based rock band Tool has announced a U.S. tour happening in March 2014.
The band hasn’t released any new material since 2006, but Antiquiet reports that the band will do a brief western U.S. tour this spring. In addition to those dates, the band will appear at the Festival Cumbre Tajín 2014 in Veracruz, Mexico, on March 21.
Though drummer Danny Carey said that Tool wouldn’t have a new full album until 2014, that didn’t prevent the band from announcing an “epic” new track they were working on in 2013, without revealing too many details.
This year also marks the 50th birthday of Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan. A celebration called Cinquanta, at which Puscifer, Failure and A Perfect Circle will perform, will be held at the Greek Theatre in honor of Keenan.
