Los Angeles-based sister act Haim will be the first band playing at KROQ’s Red Bull Sound Space stage in 2014 and a live stream of the performance will be available online.
The Red Bull Sound Space was created in October 2011 in a converted office space. Old audio equipment such as record players and boomboxes decoratively adorn the stage. Since its launch, artists like Coldplay, Matt & Kim, Flo Rida, Passion Pit, Angels and Airwaves and more have played there.
On January 15, at 1 p.m. Pacific time, Haim will perform for 150 fans at the Sound Space. The show is hosted by KROQ, who will stream the performance online as well.
This may be a good chance for fans to catch the group performing live a bit earlier than they would otherwise be able to, since Haim’s spring tour doesn’t begin until April. Last year they performed at the New Noise Festival in Santa Barbara and released some new music, including the track “The Wire,” which had an accompanying video featuring Jorma Taccone of the Lonely Island.
