Starting in the 1980s and 90s, Amnesty International has been holding concerts for human rights. This year, on February 5, the next Human Rights Concert lineup will include Flaming Lips, Imagine Dragons, and Lauryn Hill.
In its 30 year history, Amnesty International has held concerts with artists like Radiohead, Lou Reed, Bruce Springsteen, U2, Peter Gabriel, and more, in support of human rights. “This concert is part of an evolving conversation about human rights that grounds the universal struggle for dignity and freedom in the injustices we see every day in our own backyard in the United States,” said Steven W. Hawkins of Amnesty International USA.
According to Pitchfork, the next Human Right Concert will be held on February 5, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Headliner Flaming Lips toured with Tame Impala last year, and will appear on a special New Year’s Eve show. Another headliner Imagine Dragon will begin their spring tour soon. They are also featured on France festive Main Square.
The full lineup will include:
Imagine Dragons
