Danish producer and artist Anders Trentemøller’s new video is out. A fresh new look at video clips with the participation of Hollywood’s Oscar Isaac and the enchanting vocals of Jana Hunter
Directed by Tue Wallin Storm & Elvira Lind, the video for “Gravity” (his latest single from the 2013 album Lost) the video gives non-angelinos a glimpse of the life-by-your-own pace the city of angels provides. Oscar Issac – known for his roles in Refn’s ‘Drive’ and the new Coen Brothers’ movie ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ – plays an unemployed man who offers himself as an extra passanger to busy angelinos as ‘Mr Carpool’ so they can drive the highway’s fast track. A beautifully crafted visual composition that sets the tone for the always-evolving track.
The song features Jana hunter of Lower Lens, in an interview with Rolling Stone Trentemøller explained
I was very happy with the chord progression I had come up with on my upright piano in my studio, but the more I worked on the song, the more I also liked the idea to have a human voice, so I thought about Jana Hunter from Lower Dens. I was really happy about their latest album Nootropics, and when Lower Dens one day asked me to remix their track ‘Brains’ I immediately said yes. When I finished the remix we agreed that Jana and I would do a swap deal. Artist to artist! I did the remix for free and Jana would sing on one of my tracks one day. And so it happened. We never met, but did everything via the Internet.
“Gravity” comes as the third single from Lost (his third studio production), following “Never Stop Running feat. Jonny Pierce of The Drums” and “Candy Tongue feat. Marie Fisker”
