After a busy 2013, including the release of …Like Clockwork in June, Queens of the Stone Age is already planning a new album.
Although the band starts touring at the end of January, they plan to get back into the studio this fall to record their next album. Both Rolling Stone and Consequence of Sound quoted lead vocalist Josh Homme as saying, “We have more than enough songs. We’re booked til September, but after that we plan to jump in the studio and get going.”
The band recently appeared at the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas with artists like Kings of Leon, AFI and Arctic Monkeys. In addition to their touring schedule in 2014, which doesn’t fully end until August, Queens of the Stone Age will perform at the Rock am Ring Festival in Germany and the Oya Festival in Norway.
