WATCH: Camp Freddy and Corey Taylor Perform Stone Temple Pilots’ “Sex Type Thing”

Adding another star to their line-up, Camp Freddy teamed at the last moments of 2013 to perform some covers including STP’s hit “Sex Type Thing”

If you’re a regular of Hollywood’s legendary joints like Viper Room or Rainbow Room you’re probably familiar with Camp Freddy or at least its members. The All-Star band conformed of Jane’s Addiction’s Dave Navarro and Chris Chaney, Billy Morrison (Circus Diablo vocalist), Velvet Revolver’s own Matt Sorum and Donovan Leitch (yes, the guy from Donovan) is a ‘jam’ band of rockstars who perform all over the country for classic Rn’R aficionados.

Each december Camp Freddy hosts a Xmas residency at the Roxy Theater in West Hollywood where they perform covers with special guests. Well, this past 31st, on the verge of the new year, Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) was brought up on stage to deliver some historic versions of classics by Aerosmith, Van Halen, Alice Cooper and Stone Temple Pilots. Watch fan-filmed footage of their performance of “Sex Type Thing” after the jump.

Recently Taylor posted a message on twitter stating that Slipknot is still on the run despite the departure of drummer Joey Jordison. The singer is about to embark on winter tour with Stone Sour starting january 14th.
