Australia’s John Butler Trio are releasing a new album and touring North America in February 2014.

The new album, Flesh & Blood, is the group’s first studio album in four years and will hit shelves February 4. It also marks the band’s first release with Vanguard Records. The last album by the John Butler Trio was April Uprising in 2010, which had a wide variety of influences and tracks.

The new album only took 20 days to actually record. On making the record, Butler says, “There’s something really exciting about that moment when you’re writing a song and it’s flowing and you stand back and look at it and hear it and feel like it explains things that you’ve been trying to explain all your life, or it expresses something that feels universal.” The first single from Flesh & Blood is “Only One,” which is already streaming online.

The band will tour the U.S. and Canada from February 3 to 23 in support of the new LP, but several shows are already sold out.
