Via Play it Again Sam, Joan As Police Woman has announced a date for the highly anticipated album ‘The Classic’. Joan Wasser hits again with all her soul-ness with a single/video featuring comedian Reggie Watts and fellow musician Joseph Arthur.
Following the massive success of her 2011 LP release The Deep Field Wasser’s new song and record promises nothing but all the good things of old school soul with just the exact amount of head-turning production that make her a unique artist and musician. The title track ‘The Classic’ comes as the first single, filmed on the streets of NYC, the video includes a street-corner doo-woop bass vocal with contributions of fellow singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur as well as renowned comedian/musician/beatboxer/… Reggie Watts. Check it out:
