Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins has admitted that nearly all of the charges against him, which included child pornography and other child sex offenses, are true.
According to the New York Daily News, Watkins pleaded guilty to at least 13 child sexual assault offenses. He denied the charge of raping an 11-month-old infant, but admitted to two counts of attempted rape of the child.
The Welsh singer and two women were scheduled to stand trial together for “conspiring to engage in sexual touching with two young children.” In addition to the charges accepted above, he pleaded guilty to six counts related to child pornography and one count of possessing “extreme” animal pornography, as reported by SPIN. The two women involved also pleaded guilty to similar charges.
The UK rock band split in October after almost a year of dealing with Watkins’s latest legal troubles. Back in 2007 and 2008 he also pleaded guilty to taking and distributing indecent photos of children. All three involved in the recent case will be sentenced on December 18.
