Gene Ween Releases Final Ween Demos Entitled Gener’s Gone: The Final Demo Recordings of Gene Ween

Since Ween’s breakup, Aaron “Gene Ween” Freeman has decided to release a culmination of songs never released, entitled Gener’s Gone: The Final Demo Recordings of Gene Ween.

Aaron Freeman, also known as Gene Ween from the band Ween, has officially released the last songs associated with his alter ego. After the band Ween split, Freeman gathered a collection of 25 minutes worth of music that amassed over the years, but that never fully made it to the Ween catalog. The full album is streaming on Bandcamp and is available for purchase. On his Bandcamp, Gene Ween’s official statement is posted:

After 20+ years of near-fatal drug & alcohol abuse (thankfully culminating with intensive but successful rehab), AARON FREEMAN (aka Gene Ween) was left in a dire financial situation. All proceeds will go directly to Aaron, as he continues down the path toward creative freedom and personal health.
