WATCH: Queens of the Stone Age Perform “The Vampyre of Time and Memory” on Conan O’Brien

Perhaps to pay homage to tonight’s holiday, Queens of the Stone Age chose to play “The Vampyre of Time and Memory” on Conan last night. Watch below as lead singer Josh Homme tones down his rock ‘n’ roll persona to solemnly play piano for the song.

Off the newest album from QOTSA, …Like Clockwork, the somber tone to “The Vampyre of Time and Memory” strikes something of different chord from the rest of the LP, which contains such emphatic tracks as “My God Is The Sun”. It definitely feels similar to boozier tracks like “Keep Your Eyes Peeled”, though – it’s just a shame the group is yet to release a video for “The Vampyre of Time and Memory” that packs an animated punch as effectively as the rest of the video’s albums have this year.

QOTSA delivered a great pre-Halloween performance on Conan, however – watch below.
