This month highlighted Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros as they put together, and performed in, their very own Big Top Festival. But they also have a new album to promote, as their self-titled release came out this July. From it comes a new video the band has released via Big Sun Foundation, a non-profit they also created. Needless to say, it’s been a busy year for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.

The video for “Life is Hard”, which features an acoustic version of the song, recorded at New York’s WVUF, also compiles the 2013 World Press Photo Contest winners, and the finished product is something to behold. Don’t be ashamed to grab a box of Kleenex before you click play:
