Walter Schreifels has made a full circuit; after some hardcore, post-hardcore, metal and indie-rock, he’s now moved onto the solo acoustic holiday themed portion of his career.
Walter Schreifels has surely exceeded the number of kickass bands that one person can be involved with in their lifetime so it’s probably fitting that he has set aside some time this Winter for his solo career. Initially known for his time with hardcore bands Youth of Today and Gorilla Biscuits, Schreifels went on to form post-harcore/metal outfit Quicksand, with whom he toured last winter. Last year he also recorded an album, Found, with the newly reformed Rival Schools, this reunion following an entirely new band, Walking Concert, and a solo project in the interim. It’s good to know that he’s kept up his work ethic.
