Brookyn Vegan and CMJ are teaming up again this year for two days of music as part of CMJ’s annual Music Marathon.
Taking place this Friday and Saturday (October 18th and 19th) in New York City, Brooklyn Vegan and CMJ are throwing a couple of parties- FREE parties. In its 33rd year, the CMJ Music Marathon has been an important platform for the discovery of new artists. The festival features over 1,400 musicians and bands doing showcase performances at venues across the city.
But forget that, let’s talk about the free shows. The Brooklyn Vegan CMJ parties will kick off Friday at noon with a special acoustic performance from indie-folk band The Head and The Heart. Friday’s party will wrap up at 6pm, but Saturday (also beginning at noon) promises 10 hours of food, music and drink. Oh yeah, and there are free tattoos. The artists at Three Kings Tattoo will be treating party-goers to complimentary ink on a first come first serve basis. Free music, free food, free drink, free ink. Enough said. Entry will be granted on a first come first serve basis, so plan accordingly. The location(s) will be announced tomorrow, as will a special addition to Friday’s lineup.
