Dirty Three guitarist Mick Turner has announced the release of his solo album Don’t Tell the Driver and the accompanying tour. If that wasn’t enough, he’s also streaming a song off the unreleased album.
Known for his work with Dirty Three, Venom P. Stinger, Bonny Billy, Cat Power and Fungus Brains, Mick Turner is releasing his new album November 19th on Drag City Records. In celebration, he’s streaming the song “Sometimes” which can be heard below. “Sometimes” features some lovely vocals provided by Caroline Kennedy-McCracken over wandering guitar lines and assorted percussion. Well worth a listen if in a pondering mood. While he’s at it, Turner will also be touring this November in support of his new material.
