Los Angeles psych-rockers The Warlocks have announced the upcoming release of their eighth album, the band’s first piece of new material in five years.
The album, Skull Worship, was recorded gradually over the last two years and is considered the end piece in a musical trilogy of sorts. Said frontman Bobby Hecksher in a recent press release, “I consider Skull Worship the final musical piece of the trilogy which started with Heavy Deavy Skull Lover, then The Mirror Explodes and now Skull Worship. They are all suppose to be connected with similar cord changes and fragmented weirdness.” Siting influences like T. Rex, Hawkwind and Neu!, the weirdness will definitely be in full supply.
Skull Worship drops November 26th via Zap Banana.
