Singer/songwriter Nicole Atkins launched a PledgeMusic campaign yesterday to support the launch of her new record label and the release of her third full length album.
After a couple of apparently lackluster experiences at both major and independent record labels, Atkins is taking her career into her own hands and enlisting help from her fans. The psychedelic folk-rocker announced her PledgeMusic campaign yesterday to help fund the recent launch of her fledgling Oh’Mercy Records and the release of her forthcoming LP, Slow Phaser. For fans considering helping a girl out, she will make sure you get your pledge’s worth. Contributors to the campaign will receive personalized tokens of her appreciation, ranging from signed copies of Slow Phaser to private acoustic performances. But let her tell you about it herself:
You can contribute and keep up to date with the campaign here, and New Yorkers be sure to catch her headlining set at the Bowery Electric this Friday night as part of the CBGB Festival.
