Chicago rockers Russian Circles premiered a new track yesterday, the third single to be released from their upcoming fifth LP Memorial.
The instrumental trio unleashed the song “1777” on the public, premiering the stream on Pitchfork yesterday. The track clocks in at a hefty seven plus minutes of epic, orchestral distortion. It’s decidedly heavier than the track they shared a few weeks ago, “Memorial,” a gloomy shoegaze number featuring a vocal contribution from label/tour-mate Chelsea Wolfe. The goth/folk songstress will join Russian Circles for a co-headlining tour of the EU and UK which kicks off shortly on October 12th. Give “1777” a listen below:
Memorial is out October 29th via Sargent House. For more news and tour information, visit Russian Circles’ official site.
