Prince fans are getting a surreal treat today, as he has opened his Paisley Park Studios to the public for a concert event. Prince will be joined on stage by his new band 3rdEyeGirl, along with New Power Generation, his previous band whom he recently reunited with in New York. The venue, of course, is an incredible view into the artist’s world, and is sure to offer everyone in attendance the show of a lifetime.
Paisley Park Studios was constructed in 1987 for the cost of $10 million dollars in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Prince’s palace is home to four recording studios, and a state-of-the-art, 12,500 square foot sound stage. You can read more about Paisley Park at Prince Vault.
For people attending tonight’s event, no cellphones will be allowed and a $50 donation is required to enter. There are sure to be surprises, especially with Prince’s release of album artwork featuring comedian Dave Chapelle for his new single “Breakfast Can Wait.” With a sense of humor like that, and an already outrageous reputation the Paisley Park concert will most definitely be epic.
