Dream poppers Asobi Seksu announced they’re going on an indefinite hiatus this week, beginning with a social media post that seemingly said goodbye to their fans.
On Monday, Asobi Seksu posted the following to their Facebook page:
Thanks for all the memories guys. Hope to make more down the line. We miss you all.
If true, this marks an end to the New York-based group that began as Sportfuck in 2001. Since changing their name to Asobi Seksu and releasing a self-titled debut in 2004, the band’s released three studio, and three live, albums, and gone through multiple lineup changes. Here’s hoping this recent announcement is just a short-term break for the indie pop group.
