Two superstars of the rock ‘n’ roll world have nearly simultaneously hinted today via Twitter that they will be co-headlining an Australian tour “soon.”

The Tweets are no doubt coming as a great surprise to their Australian fans, after a small Twitter battle between Australia’s most prominent music promoter AJ Maddah and NIN frontman Trent Reznor. Apparently, Maddah got offended when Reznor wanted “a more sophisticated fanbase” and withdrew from Australia’s Soundwave Festival.
Australia: we love you and we're coming. Didn't feel Soundwave was the right vibe for us or our fans – working on a better scenario.

However, it seems Nine Inch Nails doesn’t need a top level promoter, with the mind boggling success NIN has been having this year, including release of their first album in 5 years, Hesitation Marks amidst unrelenting hype, and adding new talent to their lineup, they have teamed up with Queens of the Stone Age to co-headline a tour in the land down under.
QotSA has been making headlines this year as well, releasing a new album of their own, Like Clockwork, as well as performing in a benefit concert for The Bridge School and playing the iTunes Festival.
