Maintaining his lifestyle and notoriety to levels only he can likely understand, Andrew W.K. has now fulfilled yet another dream in the signing of a book deal for “The Party Bible”.
Publishing house Simon & Schuster made the offer to Andrew W.K., and the musician gladly took on the project. He’s been quoted as saying:
This book is the culmination of my entire career as a professional partier. In fact, this book is the culmination of my entire life. Everything that has ever and never happened has led to me being in the perfect position to receive the contents of The Party Bible and write it down, once and for all. This is a powerful and dangerous feeling, but it is definitely meant to happen.
In the agonizing times ahead, or until we can have the book in our hands, it’s reassuring to know Andrew W.K. can be seen on the road with Marky Ramone and the duo’s project Blitzkrieg this fall. It’s an appropriate transition for W.K., who just spent the summer opening for Black Sabbath and breaking world drumming records on his own.
To embellish the year even furhter, Andrew W.K. will also be joining the various rock acts Rob Zombie asked to be involved in his Great American Nightmare 2013 festivities.
In the meantime, take a look at the process the musician went through in composing The Party Bible:
