Surround by controversy, Death Grips’ is reportedly releasing the infamous No Love Deep album on vinyl. The release for the album is rumored for November 2013.
Death Grips is known for making bold artistic moves, but 2013 has truly been a landmark year for Grips’ eccentric behavior. Since the highly publicized break-up last year between the band and Epic Records, and the announcement of the launch of their label Thirdworld, more controversy has continued to follow. In the past few months the band has been ‘no-shows’ to numerous festivals like Lollapalooza, spreading rumors like wild fire. It was reported that the band had left an apparent suicide note on the stage and their music was playing in the foreground. Surprisingly they turned up to the 2013 FYF Festival, and were received with mixed reviews. More recently Death Grips have just released a new track titled “Birds.”
Luckily they are making an apparent turn for the better, with the release of No Love Deep on vinyl. Discogs.com, a user-submitted music site, reported that Death Grips had previously sold No Love Deep on vinyl at shows. The release date and information has not yet been confirmed, but a rep made note that Amazon listed the date as November 19th, 2013, and will be released via Pirates Press. With a note of explicit imagery in the packaging and a mysterious album cover, No Love Deep Web, is only adding to the curiousity around Death Grips’ new material. View the leaked album artwork below.
