Volcano Choir, another project of Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, did their first television performance on Tuesday’s episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Turns out there’s no reason for Justin Vernon’s dedicated fanbase to freak out; he’s still very much on the scene. With the recent rumor that Bon Iver is done for (this is not true, by the way), Vernon’s followers might be satiated by another of his handful of musical projects, Volcano Choir. Started as a collaboration between Vernon and members of Wisconsin band Collections of Colonies of Bees, they’ve only put out two albums since their formation in 2005. Their sophomore LP, Repave, was just released on September 3rd. Currently Vernon is putting his energies into this project, and fans can catch them on a Fall tour which wraps up mid-October.
